We left Fukuoka on 16th of March. We took Hikari, Shinkansen to Osaka for 3 hours. Shinkansen stops at Shin Osaka (means New Osaka). Chie chan, my friend in Osaka booked a room for us near the Station. It cost around \13000 including breakfast for over night.

We went to Osaka Castle. It is a quite large area including plum garden and parks. The original castle was destroyed by fire. Inside of the castle is museum and cost \600. We had Takoyaki which are grilled flour balls a piece of octopus inside. Osaka is well known as Food Paradise.

In the evening, we met Chie. She took us to the Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pizza) restaurant, Big Wheel, Mizukake Jizo and Dotonbori. There is a famous bridge in Dotonbori. The bridge has a nickname called, "Hikkake Bashi" which means "pick up bridge". There are so many young people standing and waiting to pick up or be picked. Osaka people are outgoing people, and they love jokes. There are many comedians who are from Osaka area.
